MADURAI: As Kanyakumari fishermen picketed Kuzhithurai railway station on Thursday, the Thiruvananthapuram railway division announced changes in the pattern of train services. The railway division cited security reasons for changing the pattern of the trains.
According to statement from the division, number 22627 Tiruchirapalli – Thiruvananthapuram intercity express has been cancelled between Nagercoil and Thiruvananthapuram and the rake would be used to operate number 22628 train between Nagercoil and Tiruchirapalli.
